Janata Party National Spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, Party leader and
Chairperson Waqf Development Committee & Member Central Waqf Council
along with BJP State Vice President & ex-MLC Sofi Yousuf led the party rally
at Sirigufwara and later a public rally at Khanabal in Anantnag. The party
leaders campaigned for the Sirigufwara BDC Candidate Rifat Yousuf. Party
representatives Manzoor Bhat and Asif Masoodi also were part of the rallies. In
his address BJP National Spokesperson and former Union Minister Syed Shahnawaz
said that it was the opportune time for the people of J&K to go for a
change of representatives from the looters to the people who want the progress
and prosperity of masses. He said that the constitutional change in J&K has
opened doors for the peace, progress and development of the entire J&K. “The
complete integration of J&K has opened new doors of industrial and economic
development in the union territory. The youth of J&K will now get jobs and
opportunities for their better future,” said Syed Shahnawaz. In her speeches, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said
that those who are crying foul on the new political and constitutional order of
J&K now are in reality wailing for the lost paradise of corruption, scams,
loot and extortion. She said that thousands of kanals of the land of
J&K was grabbed by the politicians, their supports and relatives and
shamelessly legalized by the Roshni Act. “See everybody involved will be
punished and the process has started to retrieve the grabbed land. Many such
scams are being unearthed soon. Many of the political rudalis are
destined to go to jail,” said Dr Darakhshan while appealing the people to vote
for change. Dr Andrabi gave details about
the new job opportunities being created by the government as per the new
holistic development plan chalked out by the Lieutenant Governor administration
as per the directions of the Central government led by Shri Narendra Modi. BJP
J&K Vice President & ex-MLC Sofi Yousuf asked people to vote for
Development and Peace for the first time in J&K.
