WORKERS MEET AT SRINAGAR
BJP WORKERS MEET WAS HELD AT SRINAGAR ON 16th OCT WHICH WAS PRESIDED BY ME. MANY PARTY WORKERS FROM ALL DISTRICTS OF KASHMIR VALLEY PARTICIPATED IN THE MEETING.

MEETING WITH J&K MINISTER
MET J&K MINISTER FOR EDUCATION SYED ALTAF BUKHARI AT HIS RESIDENCE AND PRESENTED HIM A MEMORANDUM BASED ON PUBLIC DEMAND FOR IMPROVING THE INFRASTRUCTURE OF MANY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND DEPLOYING STAFF TO UNDER-STAFF SCHOOLS AND HIGHER SECONDARY INSTITUTES.
Meeting with Union Minister for Minority Affairs
I had a detailed meeting with Union Minister of Minority Affairs Jenab Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi Sahib at New Delhi. Raised the issue of special package for Srinagar HAJJ HOUSE repairs and expansion which got damaged severely by 2014 floods. The minister assured to look into the matter and allocate funds for the same as soon as possible.
AT PEER BABA SHRINE
A WEEK LONG SPIRITUAL CELEBRATION WAS HELD AT PEER BABA SHRINE IN JAMMU. ON THE INAUGURAL CEREMONY BJP STATE PRESIDENT SHRI SAT SHARMA WAS THE CHIEF GUEST WHILE AS I ATTENDED AS THE GUEST OF HONOUR.
Meeting with Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore
I met Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Shri Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore at Delhi and presented him two memorandums regarding the Commissioning of Programmes for Kashir Channel of DD and about the cases of long serving casual artists of the state.
KHER BHAVANI MELA ARRANGEMENTS
BJP organised a Camp for Yatries of Mela Mata Kheer Bhavani-2017 at Ganderbal. I personally supervised the camp. It was a great occasion for me host the yatries from across the country.

I was invited to Punjab by the Bagga Foundation to release its annual publication.
SAMARPAN DIVAS
11 February 2017 was observed as SAMARPAN DIVAS by BJP throughout the country. A state level function was held at Jammu.
NEW WORKERS INDUCTED
It was a brief function held at my personal office at Srinagar where I inducted two dozen active political workers from other parties into BJP.

IT WAS A WELL-ORGANISED SPORTS EVENT AT JAGTI KASHMIRI PANDIT MIGRANT TOWNSHIP. I WAS INVITED AS THE CHIEF GUEST ON THE CONCLUDING FUNCTION. I WAS PLEASED TO MEET THE YOUNG SPORTS TALENT OF THE DISPLACED KASHMIRIS.

Honourable Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh Ji visited Srinagar and held numerous discussions with many delegations which met him during his two day visit. I was part of State BJP delegation which met MR Singh at Srinagar.
HARMONY AWARD
I was awarded with Harmony Award. The award was presented at Hoshiyarpur by the Minister of Medical Education & Research Punjab Bibi Mohinder Kour Josh in presence of Shri Vijay Sampla Minister of State for Social Justice (Govt of India).
A VISIT TO BUDGAM FIRE VICTIMS
Visited KACHVARI village of Bdgam in Kashmir where a devastating fire destroyed many households. Presented them a meager help in kind and then visited Deputy Commissioner's Office at Budgam and submitted a written request for immediate relief to the fire-victims.

I was invited as Guest of Honour on the Book Release function (Urdu poetry of Santosh Shah Naadan) organised by Urdu Department of Jammu University at Gian Chand Jain Hall
RUN FOR PEACE
RUN FOR PEACE was held at Srinagar. It was jointly flagged off by State Ministers Mrs Aasia Naqash, Smt Priya Sethi and me.

POETRY BOOK RELEASED
Bhartiya Janta Party National President Amit Shah today
released Dr Dartakhshan Andrabi’s new book “Hatheli
Pe Suraj” at Jammu in presence of Minister of State in PMO Dr Jitendra
Singh, BJP National General Secretary Ram Lal, BJP National Vice President
Avinash Rai Khanna, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, BJP State President
Sat Sharma and BJP State General Secretary Ashok Koul. “Hatheli Pe Suraj” is the Urdu poetry collection of Dr Darakhshan
and is her seventh book. Dr Darakhshan writes poetry in Urdu & Kashmiri in
addition to the translations which are very significant. She has translated the
poetry of Nobel Laureate Pablo Neruda and ex-Prime Ministers Atal Bihari Vajpai
and V P Singh into Kashmiri. Hatheli Pe Suraj includes opinion write ups of
Makhmoor Sayeedi, Chandra Bhan Khayal, and Rayees-ud-din Rayees who have rated
this poetry as a trend setting poetry of Nazm-Goi
in Urdu literature. A recipient of State Translation Award, Rani Laxmibai Award
and Vandemataram Samman in addition to many awards and appreciations, Dr
Andrabi is a writer of diversity. While releasing her book, BJP National
President said that Darakhshan carries a sun in her hands to fight the darkness
around us. “These are the poems of humanity and nature and peace,” said Amit
Shah. Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of
State in Prime Minister’s Office hoped that this sun will shine in the troubled
state to usher in an era of peace and prosperity.
DOOR-TO-DOOR AT FAQIR GUJRI IN SRINAGAR
I visited FAQIR GUJRI, the tribal area of Srinagar and went door-to-door to interact with the locals. They shared their problems and I instantly took up the issues with the concerned authorities and solved each and every problem. I also gifted some blankets and food-products to needy in the area.
