Bhartiya Janta Party National President Amit Shah today
released Dr Dartakhshan Andrabi’s new book “Hatheli
Pe Suraj” at Jammu in presence of Minister of State in PMO Dr Jitendra
Singh, BJP National General Secretary Ram Lal, BJP National Vice President
Avinash Rai Khanna, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, BJP State President
Sat Sharma and BJP State General Secretary Ashok Koul. “Hatheli Pe Suraj” is the Urdu poetry collection of Dr Darakhshan
and is her seventh book. Dr Darakhshan writes poetry in Urdu & Kashmiri in
addition to the translations which are very significant. She has translated the
poetry of Nobel Laureate Pablo Neruda and ex-Prime Ministers Atal Bihari Vajpai
and V P Singh into Kashmiri. Hatheli Pe Suraj includes opinion write ups of
Makhmoor Sayeedi, Chandra Bhan Khayal, and Rayees-ud-din Rayees who have rated
this poetry as a trend setting poetry of Nazm-Goi
in Urdu literature. A recipient of State Translation Award, Rani Laxmibai Award
and Vandemataram Samman in addition to many awards and appreciations, Dr
Andrabi is a writer of diversity. While releasing her book, BJP National
President said that Darakhshan carries a sun in her hands to fight the darkness
around us. “These are the poems of humanity and nature and peace,” said Amit
Shah. Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of
State in Prime Minister’s Office hoped that this sun will shine in the troubled
state to usher in an era of peace and prosperity.
