Darakhshan goes door-to-door at Zalapore Socialistic Democratic Party President Dr Darakhshan Andrabi continued her public contact programme in Budgam district and today conducted a doo-to-door tour of village Zalapore and apprised herself about the public problems and the causes of public anger against the politicians. She also led a road rally in the locality. She later addressed a public gathering also in which she expressed her deep concern regarding the public sentiment against the present political representative and the government for ignoring the public aspirations. Dr Darakhshan said that it was really surprising and shocking to see a huge population deprived of medical facilities. “A huge population of Zalapore is without a health sub centre. This seems quite astonishing in twenty first century,” said Dr Andrabi. She said that political bias has resulted in rejection of the people’s demands for establishment of a government medical centre in the area. Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said that again when we have multiple schools in small villages, the old Middle School of Zalapore was not considered for being promoted to a High School again on the behest of the political interference. Dr Andrabi slammed the local administration for working as a toy in the hands of politicians and thus going ahead without a plan on equality basis. SDP president said that it was a welcome sign that the people of the area have understood the tricks of the sinister politics and have decided to go for a political change. Dr Darakhshan said that this change was inevitable now for the betterment of the population of this area. She appealed to the district administration to take up the long pending demands of the people who have been deliberately ignored and she assured the people that she would remain at the beck and call of the masses for the resolution of their problems. Dr Andrabi said, “This is the beginning of the end for exploiting politics in the area and this new resolution of the people will usher in a new era of unconditional development of all areas.” SDP leader Dr Nissar Ahmad also addressed the gathering.
