JAMMU, NOV 1: The State unit of BJP got further strengthened
when Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP), under its State President Dr. Darakhshan
Andrabi, merged into BJP besides a large number of social activists joining the
party on the occasion. The new entrants led by Dr Andrabi were garlanded and welcomed
into the party fold by State President and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, Leader of
Legislative party Ashok Khajuria, State Election Campaign Committee Chairman
Dr. Nirmal Singh, State General Secretaries Ashok Kaul, Kavinder Gupta and Bali
Bhagat besides party MLA Sham Choudhary. Jugal Kishore Sharma, on the occasion
said that BJP is heading towards becoming the dominant and the largest party
due to its popularity and acceptability among all in Jammu & Kashmir and
SDP’s merger has strengthened our base throughout the state. He said that the
merger of SDP and joining of such a large number of people drawn from different
walks of life
will obviously prove to take BJP to new heights. Ashok
Khajuria said that the entire length and breadth of the state is yearning for
the victory of BJP in the ensuing assembly elections. The party's slogan 'BJP Lao
Pradesh Bachao' is attracting the attention of the masses and we are getting overwhelming
response. There is no doubt that with each passing day, BJP is reaching closer
to government formation in J&K.
Ashok Kaul said
that the much awaited "Achche Din" have begun as the people
themselves are realizing that in the shortest time the BJP led government under
Narendra Modi has been displaying its commitment for good governance,
corruption free administration, bringing down price line and working for common
people.He prased Dr Darakhshan for her nationalistic and pan-India ideology.
Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, while briefing about the merger
of SDP into BJP, said that the slogan of change, has been echoing in every nook
and corner of J&K and the whole nation is looking towards the people's decision
to show door to NC, Congress and PDP and bring in BJP which has proved its credentials
during four month rule at the centre. She said that her new political innings
will be equally important so far her contribution to the peace, development and
service through politics was concerned.
