DARAKHSHAN'S PRESS CONFERENCE

The State Assembly has been turned into a flop show: Dr Darakhshan

“The whole of the state Assembly session has been turned into a flop showperformance by both ruling and the opposition representatives. Shouting and hungama making is being done only to score personal political marks,” said Socialistic Democratic Party President Dr Darakhshan Andrabi while addressing a Press Conference in Jammu today. SDP leaders Ajay Kumar, Gursagar Singh, Sanjay Manhas, Kamaljeet Singh and Yousuf Rather were also present on the occasion. Slamming the role of both ruling coalition as well as the entire opposition, SDP President expressed her dismay over dirty score-making hue and cry by the legislatures on non-issues so far  as the public aspirations are concerned. She said that in a democratic system, the people link their hopes to the floor of the house for redressal of their problems but unfortunately our politicians have now nourished the habit of selling sentiments and making mockery of the public aspirations. Dr Andrabi said that the biggest issue of the J&K state is its six decade long ailing political system which has left a common man quite helpless and alien in its own land. Dr Darakhshan said that the people of the state in both the divisions are facing great problems and every time they look towards their elected representatives, they are let down. She said that it had become a fashion for the legislators to create whole lot of hungame in Assembly and waste the time and wealth of the common man without giving them a bit of relief and redressal from the problems. Dr Darakhshan said that a complete political change is the only solution where this old drama-making political system ceases to be and it gets replaced by a fresh new educated and young political order as this was must for the health of the state.

Welcoming new delegates, SDP President appealed to the people of the state to throw out the rotten lot out of the new Assembly in 2014 elections so that we get rid of the exploitation by the old anti-people political mafia in the state. “The misfortunes of the people of J&K are because of our local politicians as they have exploited the people and fattened their properties and bank accounts by keeping people busy in exploitation. Enough is enough and now is the opportune time for the change,” said Dr Darakhshan. She appealed to the youth of the state to shun their association with these disguised autocrats and get freedom from the present ailing political order. Dr Andrabi said that the politics in the state has existed on only one agenda and that was the loot of the rights of the common misinformed or uninformed population of the state. Dr Darakhshan Andrabi slammed the present government for its failure in curbing the funds-misappropriation at the grass root level in all spheres of life in J&K.  “Our politicians are only the trouble makers for the people at large and their approaches and plans are consciously targeted at polarizing the regions of the state. They are the enemies of the state’s integrity,” said Darakhshan Andrabi.
