Dr Darakhshan meets the visiting Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand His Excellency Korn Dabbaransi at Fortune Hotel in Hyderabad. She discussed the situation in J&K, the prospectus of the foreign private sector investment in the state and the job prospectus for J&K youth in Thailand.

Dr Darakhshan Andrabi attended Indo-Thai International Achiever's Summit 2011 at World Habitat Centre in New Delhi which was attended by the leading business houses of India and the high level delegations of India and Thailand. Dr Andrabi also addressed the Summit.



On July 6,2011 a deputation of SDP led by Dr Darakhshan Andrabi met the Governor, N N Vohra. The deputation stressed the need for urgent steps to eliminate corrution to enable economic and industrial development and increased employment opportunities for the people of the state.Dr Darakhshan discussed the need to focous on all required efforts for enabling the Panchayti Raj institutions to play a vital role in the effective and speedy implimentation of various development and welfare schemes. Dr Andrabi also pointed to the crucial role which could be played by availing the benifits of the Right to Information Act for securing greater efficiancy, transparancy and honesty in the administrative system.

SDP Contingent leaves for Delhi to join agitation against Corruption

After Delhi mass agitation to follow in Jammu & Srinagar
Sharing the national concern about the unchecked corruption and black money in the country, SDP today formally announced its active support to the call of protests by Baba Ramdev at New Delhi beginning tomorrow. SDP President Dr Darakhshan Andrabi today announced the decision of the support to the national crusade at a function held at Press Club in Jammu. While speaking on the occasion Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said that a caravan of about two hundred SDP leaders and delegates from all the divisions of the state will be leaving for New Delhi this afternoon to join the Hunger Strike with all other nationalists who are truly concerned with the grave situation of corruption & black money in the country. Dr Andrabi said that she herself had been crying hard and fighting against this legalized corruption and black money at home in Jammu & Kashmir for the last so many years now and she had recently initiated a campaign against the corrupt practices of bureaucrats and politicians in J&K who have remarkably raised us to number two in corruption in whole of the country. Dr Darakhshan said that this national crusade will strengthen and encourage such mass movements in J&K which she has already taken up. Dr Andrabi appealed to all social, political and cultural organizations to join this fight against the worst evil of our times which has made our lives more miserable than of the old days of foreign rule. Dr Darakhshan said that when on one hand we boost of our strengthened democracy in India, we make mockery of it by the unchecked corruption and black money which has made our democratic system a complete failure. SDP supreme expressed her deep anguish over the state of affairs in J&K, “We, in the garb of militancy and law & order problems, escape out of Accountability and hence find it very convenient to loot our treasuries and misuse our positions while implementing different governmental schemes, programmes, plans and works”, said Dr Darakhshan Andrabi. She said that after New Delhi such mass movements will be organized in Srinagar & Jammu and she expects the support from all those who are really hurt by the situations of J&K.
The SDP leaders who were present at the occasion included Ajay Kumar, Vishal Choudhry,Dr Shariefuddin, Gursagar Singh, Peer Abdul Majid Shah, Sham Bhagat, Munish Gupta, Sanjay Manhas and Mohammad Yousuf Rather.

Door-to-door in Jammu







Dr Darakhshan Andrabi held a door-to-door contact programme at Gole Gujral Camp in Talab Tillo area in Jammu Tawi today. She later led a road show and it culminated into a public rally at the Camp Chowk. While adressing the gathering Dr Darakhshan blamed local leaders for cheating Jammu people and leading them to discrimination on developmental front. She shared her dream of developmental mission with the locals.
