REPUBLIC DAY

“The sacrifice of armed forces on borders should not be allowed to be made hostage to the weak political will of our country”: Darakhshan                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            SDP President unfurls Tri-Colour at Channi Hiummat at a public congregation today.

“The highest kind of sacrifice on borders by our armed forces should not be allowed to be made hostage to the weak political will of our country,” said Socialistic Democratic Party President Dr Darakhshan Andrabi while addressing the public gathering at Radha Krishen Mandir Chowk in Channi Himmat today after unfurling the Tri-Colour at a glorious function held by SDP. Dr Darakhshan was accompanied by Party leaders  Ajay Kumar, Abhay Singh Wazir, Deepu Ronetra, Peer Abdul Majeed, Sanjay Manhas, Kamaljit Singh Vishal Choudhry, Ashok Khajuria, Balvinder Singh Charak and Mohan Lal.  In her address Dr Andrabi paid rich tributes to the forces jawans who laid their lives for protecting the borders of our country. Dr Andrabi said that as a country we still lack the patriotic political strength to deal with the honour of our valorous armed forces. She expressed her dismay over the recent politicizing of the sacrifice of our two great soldiers who were disrespected to the unbearable level by the Pakistani soldiers in Poonch. Dr Andrabi said, “We as a nation have still to evolve as a proud union which deals very tough with the country’s enemies. We have to shun the appeasement policy which encourages anti-national forces within and out of the country.” Dr Darakhshan Andrabi appealed to the central government to shun its adhoc approach while dealing with the issues related to national integration and the safety and peace of the country. She said that when our security forces are doing their duties very satisfactorily after putting in the sacrifice of their lives and sweat, our politicians need to learn the ways and attitude of dealing with the sensitive national issues very toughly without doing cheap vote-bank politics.
